Economics Honors Program

About

The Departmental Honors Track in Economics allows students in the Honors College who major in Economics to earn an official Honors Bachelor’s degree. This is the only pathway for Economics majors to have the Honors designation appear on their degree.

Program Requirements:
While there are no special Honors courses within the department, students are required to complete a thesis writing course, Econ. 4999, as part of the program. For further details, the Economics Honors Thesis requirements, procedures, and deadlines are outlined in this document:

Permission Code for Econ. 4999 Thesis Writing Course:
Honors students need to consult with their Honors Thesis Mentor to get the code in order to register for the relevant semester.
